Why go
Auttiköngäs is a proper waterfall with an old log-floating history around it, an hour from Rovaniemi. The trail takes you onto the cliffs above the falls and up to a lookout, which is more dramatic terrain than anything close to town.

Practical information
About 80 km east of Rovaniemi. The loop is roughly 3.5 km with stairs. In winter the stairs are slippery and traction aids are strongly recommended.

The services at the starting point - viewpoint, lean-to, dry toilet and exhibition - are accessible, but the nature trail itself is not, because of its height differences and steep hills.
